I was talking about football with a friend, and he commented on my all-time Hungary XI. He made a very interesting guess, I'll admit. Why not center Ferenc Puskás and put György Orth and Alfréd Schaffer as double centre-forward? It really would be another excellent option. And this formation would be as follows:
G. Orth Schaffer
Puskás
Lázár Bozsik
Dr. Sárosi
Lantos Rudas
Rumbold Fogl II.
Plattkó
In fact, it's tactically very good, too. After all, Ferenc Puskás, right when Hungary was changing its system throughout the 1950s — I will publish an article on the subject yet — was often used as a withdrawn insider, acting a little ahead of József Bozsik. Today, that position would be in the same area as the attacking midfielder.
