In his first professional year, in the summer of 1931, Sárosi participated in the second South American tour. While this tour didn't go as well as two years ago, the greens weren't ashamed. They were eliminated from the world champion Uruguayan team only in the fiercest fight. José Nasazzi said this after the match: José Nasazzi.
— I've never seen a midfielder launch his teammates like that. After a quarter of an hour of play, seeing the enormous superiority of Ferencváros, I spoke to Romeo, our central midfielder: “Watch out for this kid, he'll launch any attack! Borjas, the centre-forward, shouldn't let him keep the ball, because if the ball comes, we can already run with Mascheroni to help Ballesteros...
His success was even more complete when he defeated Uruguay champions Penarol with a 3:1 result on July 18th. When the greens and whites returned home, Sárosi was greeted by journalists:
— Weren't you afraid of the world champions? Because you played against big celebrities.
Gyurka replied:
— It doesn't matter the age, only the knowledge.
