PRAGUE-BARCELONA!
— Lluís Aymamí i Baudina | 13/12/1925 —

Prague-Barcelona! Here are two names that weigh enormously in the football world. Both cities have been and are the birthplace of the most famous continental footballers.
Czechslovakia and Spain are currently ranked among the great football powers of the Continent. Prague and Barcelona are its visible heads, its respective "meccas" where the large crowds gather, where the great matches are played, where the popular sport par excellence has a more eminent popularity.
Therefore, this afternoon's meeting has extraordinary importance and significance.
The visit of a Czech team has always been, in Catalonia, an unusual event, a bright note of the football season, but never, on any occasion, have the meetings between Czechs and Catalans had the significance of the one that must be celebrated this afternoon.
We are not going to repeat the technical comments that today's match suggests to us, since our colleague "Reti" already made them, dutifully, in our previous edition. We will limit ourselves, therefore, to insisting today on the significance and importance of this afternoon's meeting, to exposing the moral considerations that are relevant.
When we write this, we do not know, with certainty, the "definitely definitive" composition of the Catalan eleven. But, of course wanting it to be the best possible that we can line up, this does not prevent us, at this moment, from placing all our trust in the eleven, and saving for a better occasion our disagreement with its constitution, if it gave rise to it. We must express our sympathy to the eleven chosen, whoever they were. We know that there is not a single player in Catalonia who, in matches like this afternoon's, does not put all "his soul" into the fight, as they say, and this is an ample condition, knowing the average level of value of our players, so that we trust in them, not convinced of achieving victory, nor fearful of defeat, but yes, in the absolute and complete belief that the name of Barcelona, put into contention today in this football struggle, will be duly, worthily, placed in its rightful place.
We also expect it from our public, from our great public who will show themselves today worthy of their well-deserved fame. Given the importance of this afternoon's match, grudges, small-town biases and favoritism must be forgotten. Today the eleven, whatever it may be, will form a "whole", which will represent Barcelona, against a fearsome rival. We must perform the "sacred union" even if it is only for an hour and a half. The Barcelona team must know that the thousands of fans who will fill the field on the Sarrià road are morally with them. Let our players have no other concern than to defeat, nobly, in a fair fight, their formidable adversary. That only concern and one ideal: Barcelona!
On the contrary, we believe it is absolutely unnecessary to recommend to the public a dignified attitude towards the Czech representatives, because in this aspect, the public of Barcelona does not need recommendations. Barcelona is, traditionally, a courtesy archive and in its sporting history, we would find nothing but confirmations of the adjective.
The Prague players must face a noble team and an eminently sporting audience. We are sure that it will be so.
As we hope, too, that the Prague team will prove worthy of such an honor, since the same can be expected from those who, like them, are qualified as true athletes.
